Last Dating Safety Tips
Dating involves meeting people you do not yet know well. No identity or photo-verification system can guarantee that another person is safe, truthful, compatible, or free of a criminal history. Use your own judgment and take practical precautions.
Before meeting
- Keep early conversations on Last until you are comfortable moving elsewhere.
- Do not send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, banking credentials, passwords, verification codes, or other financial credentials to someone merely because you met through Last.
- Tell a friend, family member, or other trusted person who you are meeting, where you plan to go, and when you expect to return.
- Choose a public, populated location for an initial meeting.
- Arrange and control your own transportation so you can leave independently.
During a meeting
- Keep your phone charged and accessible.
- Protect your drinks, belongings, identification, and financial information.
- Leave if you feel pressured, threatened, impaired, unsafe, or uncomfortable.
- Do not rely on another person's Last verification status as a guarantee of safety.
Use Last's safety tools
Use the available block and report controls when appropriate. Reports involving child sexual exploitation, intimate images shared without consent, scams, harassment/abuse, fake profiles, underage users, copyright, or prohibited sexual content should be submitted through the applicable report path.
For immediate danger or an emergency, call 911 or the appropriate emergency service. Do not rely on Last to provide emergency response.
