Refunds

Excerpt from Last Premium Subscription and Promotional Premium Terms

10. Refunds, credits, and service interruptions

Current and elapsed paid periods are generally non-refundable except where a refund is required by applicable law or the policies of the platform through which the purchase was made. A granted refund may revoke the refunded Premium entitlement immediately.

Subject to mandatory rights and platform rules:

Last may issue credits, extensions, or refunds for operator-caused billing errors, material service interruptions, discontinued benefits, or other circumstances in its discretion where permitted.

Nothing in these Premium Terms limits a nonwaivable refund or consumer right.

Premium is not refundable solely because an account is waitlisted, inactive, lacks matches or compatible profiles, or is restricted for a violation, except where applicable law, Google Play policy, or an express Last remedy requires otherwise.

8. Cancellation

Ordinary cancellation stops future renewal. Unless applicable law or Google Play requires different treatment, already-active Premium continues through the end of the current paid entitlement period.

During the California dating-service cancellation window, the buyer may use the authenticated in-App/account-web cancellation control or email [email protected]. A cancellation sent to that address need not use particular wording if it communicates the intent not to remain bound. A cancellation received through email receives an automated email confirmation; an in-App or authenticated website cancellation receives an on-screen confirmation plus a receipt in Settings. A matched email received after the full-refund window stops future renewal and ordinarily leaves Premium active through the paid period.

For a qualifying statutory cancellation, Last initiates a full refund and immediate revocation through Google Play. Cancellation/refund processing is idempotent and preserves the original request-receipt timestamp for retry and exception handling.

The contract-copy email includes a purchase-specific reply address using a random opaque cancellation token so an email cancellation can be linked to the purchase without placing the Last account identifier in the email address. Generic-address messages are matched automatically only where the purchase can be resolved safely; unmatched or ambiguous items are routed for protected exception handling without losing the original receipt time.

California cancellation; death and disability

For online Premium, Last’s operational statutory cancellation methods are the authenticated in-App/account-web cancellation control and email to [email protected]. A qualifying timely cancellation is processed through Google Play for full refund and immediate Premium revocation. Ambiguous wording sent to the designated cancellation address is interpreted in favor of cancellation when it reasonably indicates that the buyer does not want to remain bound. The statement above is the cancellation notice California law requires, reproduced word for word. Last does not operationalize paper cancellation for the online service; if nonwaivable law nevertheless treats a notice as effective when deposited in the mail or by postmark, that law controls.

If a buyer dies or becomes disabled and therefore cannot receive all contracted services, the buyer or the buyer's estate may be relieved of payments for services not received. Any prepaid but unused amount allocable to services not received is refunded promptly. Disability means a condition that precludes use of the service and is verified in writing by a physician designated and paid by the buyer. If that physician states that the disability will last less than six months, Last may instead extend the service term for six months at no charge.

Because Last is an online dating service available regionally or nationally rather than a location-specific in-person dating facility, the statutory relocation provision for certain location-dependent dating services does not apply.

PROFILE, PHOTO, IDENTITY, AND BIOMETRIC VERIFICATION

Your profile and photos must depict and describe you. Ordinary active membership requires the profile state shown in the App and two camera-only required profile photos. Last does not require a randomized pose or gesture challenge for those two photos and does not represent the photo-binding comparison as a liveness system.

Active membership also requires legal-identity verification. On the ordinary path, Stripe Identity verifies identity using a government-issued identity document and selfie or live capture. Last may retain the permitted verified identity fields and an encrypted verification-reference image under the separate biometric consent and retention schedule.

Last performs first-party 1:1 same-person comparison between the current encrypted verification reference and required or later profile-photo submissions before publication where the photo-verification flow applies. Face geometry, embeddings, landmarks, crops, or other transient comparison artifacts exist only for the in-flight comparison and are not retained as a reusable template. Last does not perform 1:N face search, cross-account face matching, attractiveness or emotion inference, demographic inference from face data, or a general face-identification search. When you report an intimate image as depicting you, an authorized reviewer may, with your agreement in the report flow, visually compare your verification reference with that image; this is a one-to-one human check, not automated face matching.

Last may reject, hold, or remove profile content that appears fake, manipulated, stolen, misleading, or inconsistent with your verified identity. Profile photos are also subject to Last-controlled image-content screening before publication. An automated content-screening rejection by itself is a non-punitive retake/replacement decision unless a separate human-confirmed conduct determination supports an enforcement consequence.

Biometric/face processing is not authorized merely by accepting these Terms. Before required biometric processing occurs, Last presents a separate affirmative consent or release and links to the Biometric Consent and Retention/Destruction Schedule. If you decline a verification process required for ordinary active membership, you cannot activate the member-facing dating Service. Support may assist with accessibility, retry, or processing errors but cannot waive a mandatory verification requirement.

The Privacy Policy and Biometric Consent and Retention/Destruction Schedule describe the information Last receives or stores, the processing purposes, retention, deletion, recovery use, and access restrictions in more detail.

Verification payments. During closed Beta, Last sponsors ordinary new-member identity verification; no user-paid new-member verification charge is collected. After Beta, when user-paid admission verification is enabled, Stripe processes a separately disclosed one-time verification charge at the start of the paid verification purchase/flow. That admission-verification charge is nonrefundable except where applicable law or mandatory payment reversals require otherwise. A retry is not automatically a new paid verification purchase; applicable attempt limits govern. Separately, a person who is not a Last member may be asked to pay for Stripe Identity verification during a subsequent human attribution review of a reported nonconsensual intimate image. Submission and statutory removal of an otherwise valid NCII report do not require payment or prior Stripe verification. Any applicable non-member attribution-verification charge is disclosed before payment.

K. Purchases and subscriptions

Paid Android purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Last may receive transaction identifiers, purchase token, order identifier, storefront, purchase status, price, currency, billing period, acknowledgement state, renewal/cancellation state, refund/revocation state, promotional entitlement, subscription entitlement, and related receipts. Last does not receive your full payment-card number merely because you purchase Premium through Google Play.

For a paid Premium purchase, Last also collects the email address used to deliver the contract copy and automatic-renewal acknowledgment. Last links the purchase to the authenticated account and stores the information needed to process cancellation and refund requests, including a random opaque cancellation token and the applicable cancellation-window timestamps. The statutory cancellation email address is [email protected] when that paid surface is enabled.

One-time verification payments. Where a separately disclosed identity-verification charge applies, Stripe processes that one-time payment for new-member admission verification or additional non-member identity verification associated with attribution review of an NCII report. Last uses necessary payment status and transaction/receipt information for the verification flow, payment support and required records. The statutory NCII image-removal request itself is not conditioned on payment. These payments do not purchase Premium, consumables or private messaging.

4. Identity / attribution review

For a member reporter, an authorized reviewer may compare the member's verified reference/selfie to the reported image under the report-flow consent/notice.

For a non-member reporter, Stripe Identity may be required for punitive attribution, at the reporter's expense, with a 14-day verification window. When the additional verification charge is enabled, its actual amount is disclosed before payment; payment or verification is not required to submit an otherwise valid statutory NCII image-removal request.

Failure of a non-member to complete verification within 14 days prevents Last from imposing a confirmed-infraction consequence solely from that accusation, but does not undo an otherwise valid statutory image removal.
