Last Nonconsensual Intimate Image (NCII) Process Notice
Last provides an in-app report path for members and a conspicuous public web page for people who may not have a Last account.
1. What this process covers
Use this process to request removal of an intimate image of you that was posted or shared without your consent. This includes covered digitally altered, manipulated, deepfake, or AI-generated intimate depictions where applicable law protects the depicted person. If the depicted person appears to be a minor, Last routes the matter to the child-sexual-exploitation process instead.
2. Complete request
A facially complete statutory request contains the required signature, information sufficient for Last to locate the image, a good-faith statement that the intimate image was shared without consent, reporter contact information, and a statement that the reporter is the depicted person or authorized to act for that person.
A qualifying complete request proceeds to the removal path even if Last's automated image classifier does not flag the image.
3. Removal timing
Within 48 hours of a facially complete request, and operationally as soon as possible, Last hides the specified photo, makes reasonable efforts to find known identical copies, and adds the applicable internal removed-content fingerprint/block.
Removal of the image does not itself prove that the uploader committed a punishable violation. Account-level report hold and punitive attribution are separate decisions under the applicable process.
4. Identity / attribution review
For a member reporter, an authorized reviewer may compare the member's verified reference/selfie to the reported image under the report-flow consent/notice.
For a non-member reporter, Stripe Identity may be required for punitive attribution, at the reporter's expense, with a 14-day verification window. When the additional verification charge is enabled, its actual amount is disclosed before payment; payment or verification is not required to submit an otherwise valid statutory NCII image-removal request.
Failure of a non-member to complete verification within 14 days prevents Last from imposing a confirmed-infraction consequence solely from that accusation, but does not undo an otherwise valid statutory image removal.
5. Outcomes
- Confirmed posting/attribution: image remains removed and the confirmed conduct is handled under Track 1 of the moderation rules in the Terms of Use.
- Determined false member report: the accused account is restored as applicable and the reporter is subject to the false-report rule in the Terms of Use.
- Unverified non-member attribution: no confirmed-infraction strike or participation-standing consequence solely from that allegation; statutory removal remains.
The removed image is not automatically reinstated through this NCII process. The uploader may upload a different compliant photo.
6. Status communications
A reporter selects email or Telegram for required written case communications. Telegram messages contain only the case number, generic status, deadline/status wording where required, and an authenticated Last status-page link. Last does not send report evidence, identity documents, image descriptions, or accusation details through Telegram.
The selected email/chat identifier is purpose-limited to the case and deleted when the case closes unless a mandatory retention/legal hold applies.
7. Privacy and evidence
NCII evidence is restricted and handled only for the report, review, appeal, safety, legal, and preservation purposes authorized by the applicable policies. CSAM-class content is not sent to Anthropic.
